Ed Whitson Team 51 Mechanic |
Ed has 25 years experience as an A&P mechanic. He has done most of the work preparing the Allison fit-up engine for a show piece as well as actual fit-up to the aircraft . He disassembled the engine, prepared the various components for powder coating and plating, then reassembled the engine as you see it on the front page. He is most welcome to the team and has done a wonderful job for the preparation of the display motor. He has gained some valuable insight as to the challenges we will be facing when building the racing engines. |
