In this view, and in the three that follow, you can see our first engine as it is being transported to Peter Orton in Seattle. From the looks of this motor, we should have a pretty good motor for transport and initial testing. It appears to be in decent shape. |
| These photos were provided to me by Danny Mortensen who is in charge of powerplant procurement. Not sure whose Mighty GMC pickup it is, but it's a nice one, eh? (;-) | ![]() |

An aft right quarter view of the motor. |
| I am sure these photos have been posted somewhere else on the web, but I don't remember where that was. That aside, as work progresses, and when I get the opportunity to go visit Peter in Seattle, we will post more photos as the motor is torn down and rebuilt. | ![]() |

This
is a sample of the nose art that TEAM51 member Robert McNeill has done
for Murdo. It is painted on the nose of a full scale fuselage half on
the wall of Murdo's hangar, (I assume from the mold we will use for the
Racer). Whatever we decide as a team to name the aircraft, and if there
is to be something akin to the artwork you see here, the Racer will be
beautiful and set a new level for Air Race Art. And it looks like Robert
is well qualified by viewing his work in this view.
